Our top safety tips for outside play this summer

Read our easy to follow tips for outside play protection to keep your little ones out of harms way this summer!



With lot's of energy and fun, comes the risk of accidents, our tips have covered some basics to keep your child safe all season.


Slides


Encourage your child to go down the slide feet first and sitting up. Make sure all debris are cleared. Do not be tempted to go down the slide with your child in your lap!


Swings


Ensure all equipment has the bolts tightened. Make sure to use age appropriate swings and don’t push too high.


Pool and Sea Safety


Instil pool and beach rules such as no running near the edge of the pool and not swimming beyond a certain depth, and have a chaperone present. Provide age appropriate swimming accessories such as arm bands, floats and even inflatable toys

Balconies and Boats


Install safety netting or guards to cover spaces and use safety gates.


Trampolines


Avoid injuries by installing a safety net and put padding over the hardware . Also set rules and make sure there is an adult who can supervise. Make sure all the nuts and bolts are tight!
